The journey ends before it finishes
or at least where we thought it would go.
That progress means history is concrete
slowly crumbling to total ownership
(Where it says this, I don’t know)
How these shells became economy
then villages, then industry.
Funny how that works.
Now the crumbling part,
shells line the basements
crowds clamour outside
for the concrete to fall.
