The day started out bleak and cool, the tick of tiny water droplets falling around the extinguished leaves.  Crystals shealthed the windows of my car and hung in the air like a curtain.  It was winter even though the official start wasn’t declared, it was winter.   Driving to work and the whole day, the bleakness hung on. Through the windows,  it was cold – that sudden chill that shakes you.  Avoiding the window view was one tactic although eventually you have to look, it’s our nature, to see what the world was doing as you pounded out senseless beaucratic dribble called assignments.  So you focus on the tensioning task before you in full magnitude, full vision – what ever it was- for the assignment itself has no vision, only completion dates and consequences.

to be continued.
